At the beginning of January, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, held a networking meeting with the LIFE IP Wild Atlantic Nature project to create a space for exchanging knowledge, identifying common ground and exploring new possibilities for collaboration.

LIFE IP Wild Atlantic Nature is a LIFE project dedicated to conserving and restoring habitats and species along the Wild Atlantic Way, one of Ireland’s richest and most diverse natural areas, located in the west of the country. This region is home to peat bog habitats essential for biodiversity protection. The project works with farmers, local communities and landowners to valorise the various services provided by the blanket bog ecosystems in the Special Areas of Conservation and associated areas.

Action E3 of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project – Networking with LIFE and other non-LIFE projects – is a key component in fostering collaboration and the sharing of good practices between projects, with the aim of tackling common challenges and finding innovative solutions that strengthen environmental conservation.
