The 11th SPEA Ornithology Congress & 2nd Macaronesian Ornithology Days took place from 22 to 26 November in Ponta Delgada, to be a time for researchers, ornithologists and students to share the latest studies and work carried out in the field of ornithology.
To this end, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, took part in this Congress with the presentation of a poster entitled “Conservation efforts for habitat restorations for seabirds in the Azores” in collaboration with the Regional Directorate for Maritime Policies and the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds.
Disseminating the work carried out by the project, as well as discussing methodologies and sharing knowledge in the area of nature conservation and biodiversity, are two of the objectives of LIFE IP AZORES NATURA, through Actions E2 “Dissemination of project actions” and E3 “Networking with other LIFE and non-LIFE projects”.
