The Geospatial Intelligence for Environmental Damage Assessment (GIEDA) workshop was held on 18 and 19 April at the Furnas Environmental Interpretation Centre (CIAF). It was co-organised by IMPEL (European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law and the Regional Environmental Inspectorate.
During this workshop, which was attended by around 20 people from various European countries, it was possible to get to know the areas of the São Miguel Nature Park and visit the Lagoa do Fogo Viewpoint, where the manager of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, Diana Pereira, explained the conservation work that is being implemented, as well as the challenges and needs to monitor these areas.
