To celebrate World Environment Day, an interpretive boat trip was organised on Santa Maria, Graciosa and São Jorge, in collaboration between LIFE IP AZORES NATURA and the Environment and Climate Change Services of each island, in which students from some local schools took part.
During the tour, they visited the islets where the project’s conservation work is taking place, allowing them to see some of the seabirds that nest there. The various conservation projects being carried out on the islets were also explained, emphasising the importance of these actions for preserving biodiversity.
