The Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, the coordinating beneficiary of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA and LIFE BEETLES projects, organised the Regional Meeting of Park Rangers, which the Regional Secretary for the Environment and Climate Action, Alonso Miguel, attended, as well as Park Rangers from all the islands. This meeting, which took place over two days, included a training component as well as a series of field activities.

In this context, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA and LIFE BEETLES projects organised an activity on the Algar do Carvão – Furnas do Enxofre hiking trail, with visits to the various project intervention areas on Terceira island. During the activity, the project managers took the opportunity to show the Park Rangers the work in progress and emphasise the importance of the role played by these professionals in supporting the effective implementation of the projects in the Region.
