Last July, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, in collaboration with the Graciosa Environment and Climate Change Service, monitored artificial nests on the Ilhéus da Praia to analyse the breeding success of seabirds at this location.

During this visit, the project’s technicians and field workers took the opportunity to ring some of the broods of the Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) so that they too could be monitored later.
