In early May, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project was present at the Faial Agricultural and Trade Fair through exhibitions and activities that took place in the pavilion of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, where other projects coordinated by this secretariat were also present.
The exhibition “Together for the Future of our Natural Heritage” was on display throughout the weekend, and there was also a workshop for children, where the game “Dobble Invasoras” was played. During this event, there was also an information session for agricultural entrepreneurs, where the project manager, Diana Pereira, presented the project’s objectives, the need to implement fences to exclude cattle in the protected areas of the island of Faial, as well as the importance of peatlands and the services that these ecosystems provide.
The LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project is coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change.
