Today, 21^st of May, is the Natura 2000 Network Day. The Natura 2000 Network was created in 1992 with the objetive of ensuring the long-term conservation of endangered species and habitats within the European Union.

In the Azores, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA’s mission is to intervene in all Natura 2000 sites with the objective of, by 2027, improving the conservation status of endangered species and habitats.
