Last November, the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project team, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, made a technical visit to the Lagoa do Fogo intervention area on the island of São Miguel. During this visit, it was possible to present the work carried out by the project in this location, emphasising the control of invasive alien species and the restoration of natural habitats. The initiative was attended by IMPEL – European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law. This international non-profit organisation brings together environmental authorities from the Member States of the European Union to ensure the effective implementation and enforcement of environmental legislation.
This visit is part of action E2 of the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project, aiming to disseminate and replicate the work carried out during the project with other organisations and partners.
